 Louise 4   Paul 2

I am a 'retired' Baptist Minister, now Acting Church Secretary with my husband, Paul, which sometimes seems like a full-time job!  Prayer and Pastoral Care are my special responsibilities together with organising preachers each Sunday.  I also offer Spiritual Direction.  Our 9 grandchildren keep us busy, we go to French classes every week .  I love reading and am a member of the Readers' Group at Rastrick Library.

I have worshipped at Upper Edge for many years and am currently serving as a Deacon as well as joint Secretary. I also attend a French class which is held at the church. My main interests outside church are the family, reading, gardening at home and on my allotment and long distance pilgrimages/hikes.
Rev. Allan Wolfenden - Deacon   Anne Inwood - Church Treasurer - treasurer@uebc.org.uk
Allan 1   anne 2
I became a Christian in 1980 and began training for ministry in 1992 at Northern Baptist College while being a student minister at Cutgate Baptist Church Rochdale. I came to Calderdale in 1996 as minister of West Vale Baptist Church followed by service at Pellon Baptist Church in Halifax and Hope Baptist Church in Hebden Bridge. On retiring from ministry in 2015 I became a member of Upper Edge Baptist Church where I served as moderator for 3 years and now serve as a deacon.   I have been attending this church for a long number of years now and producing the newsletter for quite a few years now since I retired.  Also have been church Treasurer for about 6 years now and am a deacon!
I enjoy gardening, cycling, skiing, reading, keeping fit, IT – spreadsheets and desk top publishing in particular.  I especially enjoy cycling holidays abroad with my husband where we visit some wonderful countries, often seeing places off the usual tourist route.  I attend the Line Dancing class at church on a Friday morning which is a great social time as well.
David Kaye - Deacon   Lorraine Tatham - Deacon & Safeguarding Trustee

I have been a Deacon on and off for many years.  Apart from my church activities my other main activity is volunteering as a driver for Overgate Hospice.
